2020: The announcement of earphones which are capable to be disinfected independently
In the middle of July, 2020 released LG wireless earphones which are capable to be disinfected independently thanks to the UF-radiators which are built in a case. The new model is available on sale at the price of $150.
According to the producer, is built in the body of the earphones which received the name Tone Free HBS-FN6 the UVnano UF-radiator which kills with 99.9% of bacteria in a grid. The previous Tone Plus Free model produced in South Korea became a basis for new earphones.
In addition to the disinfecting radiator, LG Tone Free HBS-FN6 are supplied with classical feature set of wireless earphones. Service life of the battery is expected six hours when using of earphones, and wireless charging in a case can prolong it till 18 o'clock. Earphones are not supplied with function of active noise reduction, but double microphones should reduce an ambient noise at a call. At the same time to ezhy ambient passthrough it is available to cases when the user needs to hear surrounding sounds.
The idea of use of ultra-violet light for sterilization of gadgets becomes more and more popular. Many companies, including LG and Samsung, release the wireless chargers capable to disinfect electronic gadgets. They become especially attractive against the background of COVID-19 pandemic, however it is important to remember that sterilization of electronics does not replace such measures as washing of hands, social distancing and wearing masks.
In addition to HBS-FN6, LG also announced two additional cheaper models. Were among other things provided the HBS-FN5W model for $130 which has similar construction and the same battery life, but HBS-FN4 model for $100 which does not support wireless charging and UF-disinfection is not supplied with the sterilizing case and also. Black and white models are available.[1]
