Creation of software modules of Kognigraf-IMK and Kognigraf.IMK-PRO

On February 27, 2020 it became known that developers of laboratory of neurorobotics of MIPT and Neyrobotiks Group created software modules of Kognigraf-IMK and Kognigraf.IMK-PRO which allow to create, edit and start visually and effectively algorithms of recognition of mental conditions for the interface a brain — the computer (IBC) - modern methods of signal processing and powerful qualifiers of machine learning are available in a single batch of programs now, at the same time it did not become obligatory for user of a system to be able to program. A system is based on data of MRT and EEG.

Kognigraf

As it was reported, software modules are a part of the product "Kognigraf" created by scientists in 2019 Kognigraf are a tool for researches in the field of neurophysiology of the person using multichannel EEG. It includes the interface methods of localization, recognition and visualization of sources of brain activity. Kognigraf-FK creates the three-dimensional map of active areas of a brain which is updated in real time (to 20 times per second). Data are necessary for its work: MRT and EEG registered using a standard electrode hat (32 sensors) or a high density hat (up to 128 sensors).

Still researchers for work with IMK-protocols had to work with outdated, bulky and inconvenient EEGLab packets (the existing analogs). We are sure that updated software Kognigraf will help to bring researches to the following level.

Features of Kognigraf

For February, 2020 key advantages of software Kognigraf are:

  • Intuitive user interface

Thanks to the convenient organization of work area, all current settings of modules and the general scheme of data processing are visible.

  • Ample opportunities on creation of own algorithms

Kognigraf does not limit to the preset "payplayna". It is possible to combine data processing modules in any order and in any quantity and also to consider signs of a signal, different on properties, in one model for recognition quality improvement.

  • Idle time and quick start in real time

Preserving of the trained model of recognition and its use in real time is possible (having just connected to a LSL data stream from the device).

  • The updated possibilities of export of data

Testing of model on the updated data became possible "in one click" mice. Estimation of characteristics of model is available on automatically generated reports in.xlsx and also survey of time diagrams of recognition, studying of the topography saved in the form of pictures.

  • Algorithms of extraction of signs

The built-in methods of deep learning and adaptive selection of key signs allow to make model of recognition of the most exact.

  • Built-in visual BOS

Images of incentives can be output on the screen or to generate them by the built-in methods of deep learning in real time.
