2021: Start of release of Medtronic Rist 079 - a conduction catheter of new type for neurovascular and coronary interventions
At the beginning of February, 2021 the Medtronic company announced the beginning of limited release of conduction catheters of Rist 079 for introduction of intervention devices to peripheral, coronary and neurovascular network using access on carpal section of a beam artery.
The catheter of Rist 079 Radial Access Guide is the first catheter which was specially developed for neurovascular transactions with use of access on a beam artery. According to developers, this the device first in own way which provides high-quality navigation due to optimization of transitional zones. The head of department of tserebrovaskulyarny and endovascular neurosurgery in the Medical center of the University Rush Webster Crowley (Webster Crowley) noted in the press release that the Rist 079 system provides to doctors a full range of the instruments of access and delivery optimized according to a status and anatomic features of the patient.

Medtronic purchased the Rist Neurovascular company which developed a catheter of Rist 079 Radial Access Guide and a catheter of Rist Radial Access Selective in August, 2020 for the unknown amount. The transaction expanded a portfolio of tools of Medtronic for service of patients which needs intervention neurovascular therapy.
