Autodesk MoldFlow

The set of the products Autodesk Moldflow 2010 for the modeling of technology process and plastic parts made by an injection method is a part of single solution of Autodesk company for electronic prototyping. Upgraded version of Autodesk Moldflow 2010 became one of the first products of the class CAE (Computer-Aided Engineering) fully using all advantages of modern graphic accelerators. In particular, use of resources of the graphic processor allows to accelerate the completion of calculations twice.

With a release of version 2010 the Autodesk company optimized Moldflow line to offer customers bigger number of useful functions at the smaller price. Now the set consists of two programs – Moldflow Insight and Moldflow Adviser. The Autodesk Moldflow Insight program provides profound modeling of the most modern technology processes on production of plastic parts, using the world's largest database on plastic. The module Autodesk Moldflow Adviser facilitates modeling of processes of casting of parts under pressure, providing to designers the detailed analysis of the simulated process and interpretation of the received results. As a result designers can avoid delays in a production cycle and save themselves from expensive alteration of casting forms.

History

In 2008 the Autodesk company completed acquisition of Moldflow Corporation company for 297 mln. dollars, having received the technological solution of the same name in the order.
