NIPK Electron: Tomographic x-ray module (MTR)

The tomographic x-ray module (MTR) is intended especially for carrying out mass researches of patients with suspicion of a koronavirusny infection. The module personified technologies and wishes of doctors in the field of functionality, quality of researches, convenience, speed and safety of work. It is supposed that in the conditions of a pandemic the complex will help health workers to carry out operational diagnostics of the population.

On May 21, 2020 Zdrav.Expert became known that in St. Petersburg presented the device for fast diagnostics of COVID-19 from Electron company, it is the module of a computer tomography. It can be set in the territory of any medical institution.

As noted, the complex developed by the Russian producer is capable to provide carrying out 12 researches for an hour.

Inside the module is separated into several sections. Developers say: it is made to secure personnel. Besides, the modern ventilation system and disinfection is created. The module is equipped with the tomograph on 64 cuts that allows to conduct high-precision researches and to diagnose the slightest changes in lungs.

If we take a combination of a system of disinfection, a ventilation system, isolation of a green and red zone, routing of patients, video surveillances, accounting for slow-moving groups, then, in fact, we made a product which has no analogs. That in terms of availability speed that in terms of the volume of engineering solutions which are put inside, told Alexander Elinson, the CEO of NIPK "Electron"

The module is created specially within fight against a coronavirus. The authorities of St. Petersburg became interested in development. It is expected that in the conditions of a pandemic it can be good help even for clinics where there are permanent units of computer tomographs.

It will be good help first of all for hospitals which have small bed tanks. Such module can be delivered before hospital and to conduct also computer researches. It increases the power of any hospital. And secondly, it allows to carry out pre-hospital diagnostics, noted Oleg Ergashev, the Vice Governor of St. Petersburg[1]

As developers noted, the complex can be useful also after the termination of a pandemic. Power of the installed tomograph allows to conduct tens of other high-precision researches.
