2024: Possibility of extra space and baggage transportation in the passenger seat
ORS on June 11, 2024 announced the introduction of additional features in the ORS SIG platform. The updates are aimed at automating the work of airline staff and agents, as well as improving customer experience.
The ORS SIG system, a distribution platform content between GDS, airlines and agencies, now supports extra seat clearance (EXST) and passenger seat baggage carriage (CBBG). This change meets the needs of passengers and at the same time gives airlines the opportunity to improve the level of service.
With this "Name Exchange" functionality, passengers when checking in for a flight may not worry that there may be errors in the name or passport data on the ticket: if the airline's policy allows the use of this functionality, then "name exchange" will make it possible to correct the error without the need to return the ticket. This simplifies processes for call centers employees and reduces administrative burden.
With the functionality "Registration of EMD-S for services without reference to PNR," passengers can buy bonus points of airline loyalty programs for rubles, which expands the capabilities of airlines within the framework of loyalty programs and improves customer experience.
The Semi-Automatic Refund feature allows call centers operators to make individual adjustments to returns and exchanges. This provides a high degree of flexibility and personalization, which is especially important in difficult or non-standard situations.
