On May 12, 2020 it became known of start in Moscow of the Quarantine system allowing inspectors of traffic police by means of smartphones and a special application to be connected to any stationary road camera in the capital.

The deputy chief of the Moscow management of traffic police Alexey Diokin explained that with the drivers going to the capital without admission traffic police officers "carry out explanatory work" and warn about possible administrative prosecution. Every day on capital streets more than 1300 traffic police officers are on duty.
