2025: Product Announcement

The company "Information Satellite Systems" named after Academician M.F. Reshetnev, which is part of the state corporation "Roscosmos," presented a universal subscriber terminal of satellite communications for mobile facilities. This became known on June 24, 2025. The RS-30M device provides stable two-way data transmission in motion and can be installed on various modes of transport due to its compact size. The novelty has already begun to be used.

According to the press service of the company, the new terminal became the first model in the line of small-sized consumer devices to provide communication at mobile facilities. The development opens up a series of similar Russian-made products for the transport industry.

Satellite communication terminal RS-30M

Terminal RS-30M is a compact device with an antenna with a diameter of 30 centimeters and a total weight of 2.5 kilograms. Small weight and size characteristics allow you to place equipment on railway, road, water and other types of transport without significant restrictions on weight and size.

Specialists of JSC Reshetnev tested the terminal in real operating conditions on railway transport. For testing, a route was chosen between St. Petersburg and Murmansk, which passes through various geographical zones and climatic conditions.

Throughout the route of the composition, the antenna of the subscriber terminal with high accuracy maintained communication with a telecommunications spacecraft located in geostationary orbit at an altitude of 36 thousand kilometers above the Earth's surface. A stable connection was maintained regardless of train speed and terrain.

The established satellite communication channel provided the transmission of various types of information: telemetry data, text messages, voice communication and broadband data transmission. The terminal operated most efficiently in open areas without natural obstacles to the radio signal.[1]
