2023: Buds Air 5 Pro
On July 13, 2023, Realme introduced the Buds Air 5 Pro headphones. The model received professional noise cancellation up to 50 dB and six microphones with clear studio quality sound.
According to the company, the design of the headphones is based on two speakers: a 6-mmmicroplanar tweeter for high frequencies and an 11-mm bass driver for low frequencies. The tweeter, made of PEI + PEN composite material, uses flat aperture technology. And the aperture of the bass driver is made of pure polyurethane, softer and more flexible than the headphones of the previous generation (PU + PEEK).
Coaxial driver technology provides thick, deep bass, soft medium and bright treble frequencies. Thanks to this, the frequency range of the headphones was expanded compared to the previous generation: it is 20-40 kHz instead of 20-20 kHz.
In the Buds Air 5 Pro, thanks to the LDAC HD protocol, the data transfer rate reaches 990 kbps, which is three times higher than the traditional SBC codec and almost twice the level of the previous generation (500 kbps). The sampling rate on the device reaches 96 kHz/24 bits, which is twice as much as 48 kHz/24 bits for the previous model.
The Buds Air 5 Pro uses active noise cancellation technology in realme history. Its power is up to 50 Db, while in the last generation this figure was 42 dB. Realme engineers managed to achieve this thanks to an updated hybrid microphone design with front and rear sound capture, as well as using an optimized main microphone responsible for transmitting the user's voice during calls. A combination of these microphones provide a powerful noise cancellation effect that is 99.6%.
The updated six-microphone design provides optimal audio extraction, and with the ENC (Environmental Noise Reduction) algorithm, the level of external interference is reduced, so users can now be sure, that their voices will be clearly heard by the interlocutors.
realme Buds Air 5 Pro got the autonomy of 40 watches combined with a charging case and 11 hours without it. If the device is discharged, only 10 minutes of recharging with advanced Dart Charge technology is enough for 7 hours of active use.
In the Buds Air 5 Pro, the sound quality is confirmed by the Hi-Res Audio professional certificate (High-Resolution Audio). This certificate from Sony and reputable organizations JS (Japan Audio Association) and CEA (Consumer Electronics Association) is a sign of proper class audio devices.
The headphone chipset analyzes the spatial sound algorithm based on the functional model of the HRTF head, and rendering the surround sound provides acoustics from all sides. The sound is transmitted to the ear from several directions, which gives the impression that the speakers surround the user 360 degrees.
Buds Air 5 Pro will soon go on sale in Russia in Black and White colors in all partner stores of the brand at a price of 8990 rubles.
