2026: Beginning of application by the Russian army

In March 2026, a new ground-based robotic complex (NRTK) "Roy" began to be used in the zone of a special military operation. This was reported by representatives of a separate regiment of unmanned systems "Petrel" of the Volunteer Corps.

NRTK "Roy" is a Torpedo combat tracked platform equipped with a module with six Bumblebee jet infantry flamethrowers. The complex is controlled remotely via radio communication, which ensures the safety of personnel. The system allows electromechanical guidance on the target in two planes. The firing range of the installation is several kilometers. The complex also has a significant range on batteries.

According to the deputy commander of the Burevestnik regiment with the call sign Cosmos, in one of the directions, the operators of the Roy NRTK provided fire support to the assault units of the Southern Group of Forces. As a result of the strike, the enemy was forced out of well-fortified positions.

According to Igor Murog, a full member of the Academy of Military Sciences and Senator of the Federation Council, the key advantage of the new development is the ability to fire without finding servicemen in the immediate vicinity of the enemy. This allows you to destroy powerful fortifications and minimize risks to personnel in the context of drone dominance on the battlefield.

Igor Murog also noted that the complex is effective for eliminating long-term firing points, dugouts and shelters, as well as for suppressing enemy manpower. Small dimensions and high cross-country ability allow you to use "Roy" in difficult-to-reach areas and urban conditions.

Military expert Vasily Dandykin added that the platform's low silhouette makes it possible to stealthily approach enemy positions using terrain. [1]
