2019: Representation of the detector of calculation of photons
On December 4, 2019 the Samsung Electronics company showed the innovative solutions for ultrasonic diagnostics, digital radiography and a mobile computer tomography.
In particular, the detector of calculation of photons Photon Counting Detector (PCD) from Samsung – advanced technology which allows to measure quantity of photons of x-ray emission was provided.
The detector PCD which is as of December at a development stage will allow to optimize a radiation dose, reducing impact of beams on the patient with preserving of a high image quality, or increasing image quality at the same equivalent dose, as in the used KT-detectors.
Besides, as envisioned by Samsung, Photon Counting Detector will provide enhanced capabilities for intelligent data analysis due to consolidation of pixels on a matrix (multiple-energy binning) and will promote increase in usefulness and efficiency of applications based on artificial intelligence.
