At the beginning of January, 2020 the Withings company provided the ScanWatch smartwatch which is capable to reveal fibrillation of auricles and possible apnoe in a dream.

Smartwatch of Withings company is known for the stylish design and long battery life, but it is the first watch of the company which keeps track of the state of health of the user. As well as in case of Apple Watch, the ScanWatch smartwatch controls the heart rate of the user and notifies it in case of failure of a rhythm. At the same time the user can immediately take readings of the ECG using three built-in electrodes located on lateral face of a front panel of hours. Data of the ECG can be estimated in real time using the Withings Health Mate application.

Besides, ScanWatch are capable to reveal cases apnoe in a dream using the SpO2 sensor which determines the partial pressure of oxygen in blood. Users receive daily reports with data on blood saturation by oxygen and about existence of episodes apnoe. It is supposed that these data will help to reveal the hidden problems of users.

Despite abundance of functions, ScanWatch are still capable to work without recharge within 30 days. Other smartwatch cannot compete with such characteristics yet. However, ScanWatch concedes in another - it is the hybrid smartwatch with the small PMOLED display on which short messages and warnings whereas competitors offer devices with the large display are displayed.

Withings expects approval of regulating authorities to put ScanWatch on the market, but the company expects that the device will become available already in the second quarter 2020. Should come to the market two ScanWatch models at once: the 38-millimeter version will cost $249, and 42-millimeter model — $299.^[1]
