2019: Representation of the SeeMyWord VR simulator

On November 27, 2019 the Skolkovo Foundation reported that the SeeMyWord VR simulator developed by its resident Sensor-Tekh company uses the principle of augmented reality. On the image received in the online mode from the camera of the smartphone or the computer the defect arising at eye diseases is imposed. The user selects the mode and on the screen characteristic symptoms appear.

Groups of ophthalmologists and engineers worked on the project since 2017. For November, 2019 'SeeMyWorld' can imitate 80% of all existing visual impairment.

First of all, 'SeeMyWorld' will simplify work of ophthalmologists – it will become easier for them to understand as as the patient sees. Also the program is useful to teachers who work with the children or adults having problems with sight. And, of course, relatives of people with diseases of eyes will be able to understand much more deeply what difficulties they meet daily,

The program can be used by two methods. Using a special application of "SMW Pro" available to users of IOS. Simulation will be created in the application directly via the mobile phone camera. The version is also available to the personal computer – in this case a VR helmet will be required.
