2020: The announcement of the analyzer of Siemens NXS Host blood on Android

In the middle of December, 2020 the Siemens Healthineers company provided the mobile analyzer of epoc NXS Host blood. This time applications for Android were allowed to create the intuitive interface which replaced more than two tens buttons and the screen with rather low resolution. The application is intended for fast accomplishment of different tests and optimized for inspection of seriously ill patients of patients at the patient's bed.

Effective testing directly in the place of delivery of health care requires tools which yield fast results, are simple in use and provide security accreditations of patients and obtaining the correct results, the head of department of diagnostics in places of delivery of health care of Siemens Healthineers Christoph Pedain noted.

The epoc NXS Host system allows to improve clinical workflow so that the health workers rendering primary help could receive quickly exhaustive analysis results and timely help the patients.

In addition to the improved interface, epoc NXS Host has more powerful potential of processing and a bigger internal memory that allows to accelerate workflows, to provide coordination of results and to automatically create necessary reports on the conducted examination.

COVID-19 drew special attention to safety of patients and personnel. The analysis of gases of blood using the epoc system allowed ambulance crew to take quickly samples and to analyze them, even without appearing the room, - the clinical director of service of the respiratory help of the Central hospital DuPage Northwestern Medicine Patricia DeJuilio added.[1]
