2021: Integration of Simatic WinCC Open Architecture with Vega Absolute LoRaWAN devices

On November 24, 2021, the company Siemens announced that it had completed testing integration LoRaWAN productions of the company's devices with Vega Absolute the Simatic WinCC Open Architecture (WinCC OA) platform. During the tests, it was confirmed that it was possible to use the full range of functions of LoRaWAN devices as part of systems based on WinCC OA - both in terms of data transmission and in terms of control commands. At the same time, all the technical characteristics of the data exchange specified by the manufacturer were observed. The test bench configuration included BS-1.2 base station, TD-11 temperature sensor, SI-12 discrete signal module, as well as IoT gateway IOT2050, server and WinCC OA client applications version 3.18.
