On February 11, 2019 the Hologic company released the software tool Unifi Analytics which is designed to help medical institutions with control of mammographic devices.
According to the company, a new system should trace and coordinate operation of the installed mammographic devices. Unifi Analytics provides visualization and statistical analysis concerning such parameters as use volume, efficiency and accuracy of devices and also provides the forecast of work of all enterprise in general. Hologic claims that the Unifi Analytics web platform is capable to predict failures in operation of devices using special tools on the basis of artificial intelligence that allows to avoid idle time.
Besides, Unifi Analytics provides necessary performance, analyzing volumes of work and warning specialists if they begin to lag behind the diagram. A system traces the carried-out procedures and allows doctors to make the necessary corrections allowing to observe the quality standards of mammography. Besides, as notes Hologic, these functions allow the centers of image processing to compare the performance to other companies, to find methods of optimization of performance and to make more reasoned decisions.
The data collected using Unifi Analytics are distributed on secure encrypted links and not identified according to rules of confidentiality of the Law on health insurance. Personal medical information does not gather and is not transferred. Permanent check using the Coalfire tool guarantees a full-fledged work of protocols of security and security blanket against invasion from the outside.
Unifi Analytics is compatible only to the mammographic Hologic systems and can be started both on the computer, and on the mobile device.[1]
