History
2025: Launching
The Krasnoye Sormovo shipyard in the Nizhny Novgorod region launched a large-capacity dry cargo vessel of the RSD59 project, called Vyacheslav Kerichev. The new vessel belongs to the category of universal cargo ships of mixed navigation with ice class Ice2, designed to transport general, bulk and container cargo. The descent ceremony took place on August 27, 2025.
According to "Made with us," the dry cargo ship "Vyacheslav Kerichev" has impressive overall dimensions and cargo characteristics. The maximum length of the vessel is 140.88 m with a width of 16.98 m and a side height of 6.00 m.
InThe carrying capacity of the new dry cargo ship varies depending on the operating conditions - deadweight in sea conditions reaches 7,535 tons, and during river navigation it is 5,128 tons. Accordingly, the draft of the vessel also differs: 4.53 m at sea and 3.60 m in the river.
The vessel is equipped with two cargo holds totaling 11,292 cubic meters. The container capacity is 248 TEU, of which 192 containers are placed in holds and 56 on deck.
The autonomy of the voyage of "Vyacheslav Kerichev" is 20 days in sea conditions and 12 days in river operation. The crew of the vessel consists of 11 people, which ensures effective control of all systems.
The dry carrier power plant includes two main engines with a capacity of 1200 kW each, two propeller-steering systems and a thruster with a capacity of 230 kW. Power supply is provided by two auxiliary diesel generators of 332 kW and one emergency generator with a capacity of 90 kW.
The vessel received the classification of the Russian Maritime Register of Shipping KM (*) Ice2 R2 AUT1-ICS, which allows it to operate in ice conditions and autonomously control a number of systems.[1]
