2020: The announcement digital X-ray device with AI of Ysio X.pree

At the end of June, 2020 released Siemens Healthineers the new system of digital roentgenography of a premium class. She received the name Ysio X.pree. The equipment includes a number of the new technologies intended for automation of collecting and interpretation of x-ray images, the press release says.

Ysio X.pree is supplied with the 3D MyExam built-in camera for position fix of the patient. Thus, the radiologist can estimate settings of x-ray radiation and also execute virtual collimation, transferring commands from the workstation in dispatching office.

A system is also supplied with the tool for automatic collimation of beams at inspection of a thorax which finds a thorax of the patient and correctly collimates beams in the interesting area. This function was developed using the AI algorithm trained at thousands of images.

Siemens also provided to radiologists tools for quality control of the image using six different "categories" which can be united in special protocols of image processing. All this allows radiologists to work with image quality, comfortable for them.

In a support area of adoption of clinical solutions a system is supplied with software of AI-Rad Companion Chest from Siemens which analyzes roentgenograms of a thorax regarding existence of anomalies. Software of AI-Rad Companion Chest X-ray still is in a stage of development and did not go on sale yet.

Besides, Ysio X.pree can create "ready to work" images: in this case functions which were performed once by radiologists — for example, cutting of images — are executed now by an AI algorithm.

Siemens expects that the first deliveries of Ysio X.pree will begin summer of 2020. The company is going to advance a system in Europe, North America and in other world markets.^[1]
