2019: Announcement
On February 18, 2019 Philips Healthcare released a new mobile radiographic system with a C-type frame under the name Zenition which uses the advanced technologies for the first time provided in the system of an intervention angiography Azurion.
Zenition is intended for satisfaction of the growing demand for use of mobile x-ray devices with a C-type frame for accomplishment of harder and harder intervention procedures. For their execution at hospitals there have to be mobile x-ray installations which easily adapt to requirements of different transaction types and different surgeons.
Many of Zenition technologies were for the first time used in the system of an angiography Azurion which is released in 2017. They include the tablet user interface and the simplified workflow which allows the operator trained in one system it is easy to pass into another.
Zenition differs in compact design, is capable to remember provision of a frame of C-type and the software of BodySmart which quickly and in coordination fixes images up to the border of operation of the amplifier or the flat digital detector includes. Philips considers that this function is capable to reduce the need for movement of an arc by 45%.
Zenition uses the same algorithms of image processing, as Azurion, however the new software of MetalSmart regulates contrast and brightness for improvement of image quality in the presence of implants – very useful function for orthopedic procedures. The new device is available in two different options to detectors and amplifiers of the image. Users can subscribe for the Technology Maximizer program which gives them access to hardware and program updates at lower price, than at the separate order.
Philips Healthcare is going to begin sales products in the markets of the USA, Germany, Austria and Switzerland in the first half of 2019.[1]
