In the middle of September, 2020 the Californian startup of Zeto provided a helmet for removal of the electroencephalogram (EEG). The headset does not require use of gels or pastes and can transfer data on a wireless network. The company claims that a new system is capable to reduce terms of holding a procedure from 20-30 minutes to 5 minutes. The headset does not require difficult setup therefore any nurses or doctors will be able to use it.
According to developers, the platform of instant EEG Zeto (zEEG) represents the first wireless headset with dry electrodes which can be used for accomplishment of routine or urgent EEG in any place without presence of the qualified expert. The device is put on the patient's head as a bicycle helmet. Data are transmitted through a cloud platform which provides not only viewing in real time, but also tools for the analysis with a possibility of remote consultation with neurologists. Aggregate term of holding a procedure when using the Zeto headset is considerably reduced at the expense of the minimum requirements to training of the patient.
In the headset disposable electrodes and an additional insert which reduces contact between the patient and the headset of reusable use are used, thereby reducing risk of infection in time pandemics. The Zeto EEG device is compatible to the majority of notebooks, desktop computers and mobile devices on which the latest version web can be set browser Google Chrome. Access to the manager of researches EEG, the video overview, time-and-frequency analysis, the report generator and automatic update is provided to users of zEEG devices SOFTWARE.
According to developers, the data access is controlled using strict authentication protocols and authorization, and the cloud platform of Zeto conforms to all requirements and standards for cyber security.[1]
