2025: Developing a course for the Business Informatics curriculum at the HSE

Experts of the Korus Consulting Group of Companies began to teach students of undergraduate and graduate educational programs at the Higher School of Economics in St. Petersburg the basics of operational management and design of corporate information systems. The course is based on real cases from practice 1C. This format of training not only develops applied skills, but also increases the demand for students in the labor market. Corus Consulting announced this on March 28, 2025.

The academic discipline for students of the Business Informatics program of the Higher School of Economics is based on the experience of the 1C Department of the KORUS Consulting Group of Companies. The creator of the course, in collaboration with colleagues, was Denis Saltykov, head of the practice of improving operational efficiency. Undergraduate students are introduced to corporate information systems and their role in the IT landscape of commercial enterprises. Undergraduates, on the other hand, learn more about the basics of managing business operational efficiency and high-tech tools to increase productivity and reduce costs in enterprises.

In practical classes, students form functional requirements for systems, solve the problems of optimizing production business processes and modernizing the IT landscape. The business cases, which are understood within the course, were based on the projects of the KORUS Consulting Group of Companies for holdings and large companies from the paint, cement, machine-building, grain processing and chemical industries.

As part of cooperation with the Higher School of Economics, KORUS Consulting experts became a member of the academic council of the Business Informatics program. Together with domestic vendors and integrators, KORUS Consulting participates in the development of current educational standards and educational materials.

The course, created by KORUS Consulting, is a mandatory part of the Business Informatics program. Such collaborations make it possible to prepare students for market requirements and modern challenges.
