2024: Launch of Astra Linux and ALD Pro

Astra Group and Kuban State Technological University (KubGTU) announce the start of the implementation of the Astra Linux operating system and the ALD Pro directory service. Astra Linux will be installed on 500 automated workplaces. It is also planned to deploy two ALD Pro domain controllers. Astra Group announced this on December 16, 2024.

This is just the beginning of a large-scale integration of domestic products, which is planned in the future. Implementation will be carried out on servers, employee workplaces and in classrooms. The transition to domestic software will provide KubGTU with a number of significant advantages, including increasing technological sovereignty, as well as reducing licensing and support costs in the long term.

The integration of Astra Group products is a big step for our university towards technological independence. This project not only corresponds to the state exchange rate for import substitution, but also opens up opportunities for our IT infrastructure. We are confident that the transition to domestic software will increase the efficiency of both the administrative block and educational processes, including the training of future specialists to work with Russian products, - said Igor Lagerev, head of KubGTU.
