2026: Conducting Cyber Exercises

The Moscow Exchange has increased the effectiveness of incident management thanks to BI.ZONE, which announced this on March 13, 2026.

The total volume of trading on the Moscow Exchange in 2025 amounted to 1.7 quadrillion rubles. Monthly transactions on the exchange markets are concluded by about three million private investors. To ensure the stability of operations on such a scale, the group of companies continuously improves the effectiveness of crisis management. She was faced with the task of improving the interaction between management, divisions and specialists.

To solve this problem, the BI.Zone Consulting team organized and conducted full-scale cyber training. She focused on testing the effectiveness of business procedures, decision chains and communication in a high-criticality incident.

As part of cyber training, specialists BI.ZONE Consulting:

  • Developed a cyber attack scenario based on current technological processes with phased input of additional data and complications.
  • Coordinated the work of crisis centers in conditions as close as possible to the real ones.
  • Helped work out communication between participants, including management, technical divisions and external organizations.
  • Analyzed participants' actions and documented observations to identify opportunities to improve cybersecurity and business continuity management processes.

Cyber training made it possible in practice to check the coherence of the actions of all units in the context of a cyber attack. We not only confirmed our readiness for crisis situations, but also received the opinion of independent experts, as well as a clear plan to further strengthen the security of our systems. This is an important step in ensuring the stability of the financial market.

As part of cyber exercises, the Moscow Exchange team showed the following results:

  • Well-established communication, as well as effective interaction between group units and external parties in a crisis situation.
  • In-depth understanding of regulatory requirements and strict compliance with internal regulations and procedures.
  • Detailed analysis of the situation with a focus on minimizing possible damage.

The Moscow Exchange has confirmed a high level of operational reliability. The team achieved key goals: working out interaction between employees, checking readiness to respond to non-typical incidents, and also identifying zones to further optimize cybersecurity management processes.
