2025: Automation of Goods Accounting

Scanport specialists have completed a project to automate the accounting of goods at Ormis. To achieve the goals, data collection terminals and components of the Chainway brand, as well as specialized Scunport software DataMobile, were used, as representatives of the company announced on October 20, 2025.

Due to the dynamic development of the company and the increased document flow of the client there were problems with the quality and speed of the data. It became difficult for employees cope with a large load, a lot of time spent on solving business problems, arose errors. The general director of Ormis addressed this problem to our specialists.

The implementation of equipment and programs was required:

  • to automate business processes;
  • minimization of document flow between office and warehouse employees;
  • high quality and speed of data processing.

Accounting in the customer's warehouse is based on an unordered scheme, reference placement is implemented items in the cells. At the time of contacting our specialists, the customer used the account 1C: ERP system. It was required that the mobile software product support integration with this configuration.

To solve the tasks, we have introduced more than 150 Chainway C61 shipping documentations operating on the basis of OS Android 13 at Ormis. This data collection terminal - with a keyboard unit, a 2D Zebra SE4710 scanner, has 3/32 GB of memory in stock. Accumulator at 6,700 mAh can withstand more than 12 hours of operation without recharging. The customer additionally bought accessories: spare batteries, 2-slot battery chargers and adapters. The equipment was purchased in stages - during the implementation process at each warehouse.

For full automation of commodity accounting, we recommended software for shipping documentation - DataMobile of the older version (Online) with a subscription for 12 months. The program has the maximum possible set of functions, integrates with the 1C accounting system without additional drivers, exchanges data with it online. Allows you to automate warehouse operations, work collectively with documents in real time, supports printing to a stationary printer through Print Server.

Our specialists integrated the mobile application into the modified "inventory," set it up, demonstrated how the software copes with business tasks in practice.

The client's expectations are met. With mobile terminals with the DataMobile software product, efficient warehouse automation is provided:

  • acceptance, shipment, inventory of products occur several times faster than before;
  • There is no influence of the human factor - processes are automated, employees do not make mistakes;
  • Document flow between the warehouse and the office is carried out in seconds - upon completion of the receipt or shipment, information is automatically uploaded from the shipping documentation to the accounting system.

In the future, Ormis plans to introduce bar coding (which is associated with the introduction of mandatory labeling of building materials) and optimize logistics processes.
