2025: Automation of Annual Business Planning Processes

Korus Consulting Group has completed a project to automate annual business planning processes based on the Optimacros platform for SberUniversity. This was announced by Korus Consulting on June 9, 2025. Now the finance department and financial responsibility centers work in a single information space, the business plan data is updated in real time and is available online to all interested parties. The 2025 budget campaign was held using a new tool.

The project team has set up a driver model in the system for generating a revenue and expense budget using standards, calendar plans and estimates. To increase the speed and quality of data collection, experts implemented dashboards for users in roles and delimited the rights to access information.

In addition, KORUS Consulting performed two-way integration with the 1C: BIT-Finance accounting and management accounting platform, which made it possible to translate business plan data into an accounting system for implementing the budget control function and conduct a plan-fact analysis in Optimacros.

The project was implemented in stages, on the basis of sprints, for which the tasks were selected, the most priority for the customer for the next month. Interim results were evaluated weekly, and our specialists made adjustments if necessary. A feature of this project was the customer's high requirements for aesthetic and user-friendly visualization of data on dashboards and for general user experience when working with the solution. In the process of automation, the financial department of SberUniversity conducted an audit of analysts and management accounting rules, changed individual subprocesses for more efficient operation of systems and users, and put the improvement process on regular tracks. All actual data entering the driver model pass built-in checks, and during daily integration, data quality reports are generated indicating specific errors and inconsistencies.

2023: Implementation of the Pricing Unit

In 3 months, the Korus Consulting team completed the implementation of the Pricing block on the domestic Optimacros platform for SberUniversity as part of a project to automate financial planning and budgeting. As a result, it was possible to organize work to calculate the cost of educational programs and form a training plan in a single space, reduce planning periods, and improve the quality and speed of reporting. This was announced by Korus Consulting on November 27, 2023.

The company needed to make the calculation of the cost of educational programs clear, easy and understandable for all users. The speed of processes, the ability to model and integrate data into other processes were also important. To implement these tasks, the IT company Korus Consulting was involved.

The KORUS Consulting team modeled the cost calculation process on the Optimacros platform. The specialists set up forms and algorithms for calculating detailed estimates based on quantitative indicators and tariffs, formed reports and dashboards for analyzing and visualizing data, and set up printed forms.

SberUniversity specialists transferred to the system the actual data necessary to calculate the cost of programs and the actual plan of analysis. The solution was pilot-operated on real data containing information on all programs approved for 2023.

As a result of the first stage of the project, the company received a single centralized repository of financial parameters of educational programs. Users with different roles and access levels can work in a common information space and flexibly manage training program pricing. It became possible to create several options for the cost of one program with different parameters (venue, implementation method) and see in real time their impact on the financial performance of the company.

The number of manual operations has decreased: reports are generated automatically when primary data is created and converted to MS Word and Excel formats from Optimacros. The financial service of SberUniversity can now calculate costs in real time from several versions of the training plan, analyze costs for expenses and make informed management decisions.
