"ATB-market" starts operation of a management system for the distribution center

At the end of June, 2012 CORUS Consulting Group announced end of system implementation of management of the warehouse Manhattan SCALE 2010 in the distribution center of ATB-market company located in Kiev region. This implementation is the first stage of the large-scale project of automation of all distribution network "ATB — a Market" consisting of six warehouse complexes.

Goal

For deduction of the leading positions in the market of the company it was required to increase the accuracy of planning of deliveries and to optimize expenses per unit of goods to have an opportunity to provide to buyers the most beneficial prices. The warehouse management system should solve these problems (WMS – Warehouse management system).

As a result of the held tender the company management stopped the choice on the solution Manhattan SCALE 2010, and as the partner in implementation CORUS Consulting Group - the exclusive partner of Manhattan Associates in Russia and the CIS countries acted.

Implementation

Process of implementation was begun in December, 2010 and took place in five stages: system engineering, implementation, testing, start, and then start of additional functionality of WMS. System implementation in a warehouse, in turn, was also broken into several stages that allowed to minimize risks for "ATB". At first start of the first zone of a warehouse was performed, and after stabilization of work in it specialists started start of the following zone.

During implementation a large number of the additional WMS functions taking into account features of business processes of "ATB" was developed. These completions allowed to process optimum and to correctly organize accounting for different groups of goods (piece, perishable, weight, weight with a variable weight). Within the project specialists of CORUS Consulting Group tried to observe balance between implementation of new processes and adaptation of unique business processes of "ATB".

Result

At the moment the project is transferred to service of the round-the-clock technical support of CORUS Consulting Group.

Automation of RTs in the city of Dnipropetrovsk

The distribution center provides with goods about 200 shops the located in Dnipropetrovsk and nearby areas. The consumer goods intended for dry storage are stored in a warehouse (groceries, tobacco products, household chemicals, alcoholic products.

The project is implemented according to Manhattan Associates implementation methodology. The solution based on a system prototype in RTs Kiev (Manhattan SCALE 2010). Training of employees is provided.

Replication of a warehouse management system with all business processes which were developed within the project of start of the Kiev RTs was a main objective of the project. Within the project the following tasks were implemented:

• 1. Adaptation of the automated business processes under new RTs.
• 2. The topology of new RTs is developed.
• 3. Setup of a system and its testing is carried out
• 4. Training of again accepted WMS administrators is provided.
• 5. The new technology of work with transit goods is developed.

Automation of RTs in the city of Tsyurupinsk

This RTs delivers goods in 80 shops of network located the South of Ukraine. A warehouse tobacco products, alcoholic products, household chemicals process different consumer goods (food (including vegetables, fruit and other weight goods with different temperature condition of storage)).

The project is implemented according to Manhattan Associates implementation methodology. The solution based on a system prototype in RTs Kiev (Manhattan SCALE 2010). Training of employees is provided.
