The administration of state vehicular control for the Pskov region will organize to residents of Pskov on-line control over city buses

The administration of state vehicular control for the Pskov region and GKU "Intelligent Transport Systems of the Pskov Region" signed the agreement on interaction in the field of satellite navigation, the press service of the third project participant - ENDS-Pskov LLC, reported on March 26, 2013.

Passengers of city and suburban routes will shortly have an opportunity to monitor in real time traffic, to learn exact arrival time. The interactive map with coordinates of bus stops is in a completion stage. To residents of Pskov the service will become available this summer, to the region – by the end of the current year.

- Work on the project began two years ago. The task was received from administration of the Pskov region on software development for transport companies. After its completion it will be possible to control the high-speed mode of passenger buses and also to increase anti-terrorist security on transport, - the director of GKU "ITS of the Pskov Region" Alexander Pitirimov explains.

The equipment of GLONASS is installed on 442 buses that makes 70% of a total quantity of transport of the Pskov region, from them - 219 buses are in department of GPPO "Pskovpassazhiravtotrans".
