Optimization of stock balance and forecasting of trade inventories

On September 13, 2019 Corus Consulting Group announced project completion on connection of distribution company "Baltic Textiles" to a cloud service "Korus: Inventory management", intended for optimization of stock balance and forecasting of trade inventories. The solution already helped the distributor to increase control accuracy stocks and to reduce time spent by employees for formation of orders since a week till several o'clock.

In recent years the company significantly expanded sales markets and an assortment portfolio – for September, 2019 in it more than 20 thousand SKU. Automation of purchases was required to "The Baltic textiles" for more exact and fast supply planning and determination of optimal inventory level. In addition, through service the company was going to lower an excessive commodity remaining balance and illiquid assets.

Specialists of Corus Consulting connected seven regional warehouses of "The Baltic textiles" to service: organized data exchange in a system and set up the solution taking into account specifics of internal business processes. Quick start of work with service allowed to lower quickly a share of illiquid goods and to considerably reduce time for order management. Earlier managers of logistics predicted demand manually, conducted calculation and the analysis of a large number of different parameters and conditions of the order and spent for this process more than a week. Use of service allowed to reduce this procedure to few hours – business users receive all orders already created, they need only to check result.
