China National BlueStar selected AspenTech software for acceleration of digitalization using the built-in artificial intelligence

2020: Implementation of Aspen Mtell and Aspen ProMV

The company Aspen Technology announced on June 19, 2020 what the Chinese the chemical company China National BlueStar, or BlueStar specializing in development of materials selected SOFTWARE Aspen Mtell also Aspen ProMV for performance management of assets (APM) as solutions for acceleration of transition to digital technologies on more than ten objects worldwide. This planned deployment will allow BlueStar to increase production efficiency using models on a basis artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning.

to reach high positions in the world industry, BlueStar included software of Aspen Mtell and Aspen ProMV in the strategy of performance management of assets for deployment of the AI functions and machine learning. Closer partnership of AspenTech and BlueStar — result of the agreement on collaboration in creation of software and solutions for the engineering industry, the industry and supply chain management signed in 2018.

This partnership will allow BlueStar to improve production of specialized chemical products considerably. Forecasting of deviations from conventional processes using prescriptive and predictive analytics on all crucial equipment will allow to avoid decline in quality of products and will reduce number of unplanned idle times. Fast transition to digital technologies will help BlueStar to strengthen the provision in the world market in the conditions of variability, uncertainty, complexity and ambiguity.

Aspen Mtell analyzes historical and up-to-date data about operation and maintenance, keeps track of characteristic signs of critical wear of the equipment, predicts failures and makes accurate and detailed recommendations about neutralization of risks and problem solving. As a result of multiple factor analysis of Aspen ProMV the model which facilitates visualization and interpretation of data is created. Thanks to it it is possible to define the variability reasons among hundreds and thousands of variables in different processes.
