Softline On November 24, 2020 announced project implementation for the Mexican the company Cinepolis – movie theater chain of century To Latin America. Using multicloud the solution developed by specialists of Softline, the foreign customer managed integrate management of a large number of the information systems working in cloud environments Microsoft Azure and Amazon Web Services, thereby having increased management efficiency IT- resources.

In the daily activity the international movie theater chain Cinepolis operates a large number of the information systems working in two cloud environments: Microsoft Azure and Amazon Web Services (AWS). For example, only in a cloud of Amazon Web Services more than forty AWS accounts were unrolled. The technicians of the company created several thousands of user accounts both on these cloud-platforms, and in local service Active Directory. But over time specialists of network began to feel discomfort at an input on management portals. From one system in another workers applied different accounts to transition and a little passwords. In addition, contract organizations needed to provide regularly access to information resources, strictly observing differentiations on the access level.

Aiming to change a situation to the best, the management of movie theater chain suggested IT department to organize an end-to-end input on different portals with a uniform set of accounts. The company expected to use the credentials from the AD and Azure AD local services and also partner and guest accounts for access to the management consoles of all AWS subscriptions.

For the solution of a major problem the management of movie theater chain asked for the help in Softline company. Specialists of provider prepared detailed technical solution, including development of the reserve plan for return to the former scheme of interaction to a case of force majeur circumstances. Thanks to professionalism of experts of Softline the project was implemented within one month.

Specialists of Softline provided support of a uniform input (Single Sign-On – SSO) which opened the accessibility to management tools of AWS on Azure accounts. In the solution authentication through the SAML protocol and the exchange protocol by identification data between the domains SCIM was used.

According to the results of project implementation each specialist of movie theater chain acquired the right to enter local environments (on-premise) and two clouds, using one account and advantages of SSO. The solution of Softline considerably facilitated to employees of Cinepolis company management of own IT resources.

Experts of Softline can apply similar solutions for integration with other clouds to those customers who use, for example, Google Cloud.

It was rather unusual project. It proved that we are ready to work with solutions of different vendors, combining them under a specific objective.
