"Correct" automated work of the distribution center in Chekhov using the solution Infor WMS

On October 29, 2020 the Infor company announced end of system implementation of Infor WMS in the distribution center of federal retail network "Verny". The solution for management of a warehouse complex will allow to automate completely processes of the distribution center, to provide the high speed of a complete set of orders and to minimize quantity of errors in them.

The retailer opened the multitemperature distribution center in Chekhov about 50 thousand sq.m. at the end of summer of 2020. For October at Correct five warehouse complexes in four regions of the country: in the Moscow region, St. Petersburg, Yekaterinburg and Kazan. Their total area is 155,000 sq.m. Four distribution centers are automated using the solutions Infor WMS.

On a warehouse complex in Chekhov the Infor WMS system which transfers interaction with a software module within voice actuation is implemented. Voice messages arrive to the employees on mobile voice terminals of Honeywell, a problem of this technology — to increase the speed of execution of operations and as much as possible to increase labor productivity.

A system allows to manage all processes in RTs — from receipt of requests for placement of goods before their shipment to shops. Experience of other warehouses of Verny retail network shows that the gain of capacity of a warehouse in connection with transition to Infor WMS occurs due to fast grouping of orders and optimization of space. Also a system will allow to configure rules and to strengthen control of placement of goods by the principles of the commodity neighbourhood with observance of temperature condition of storage.

Deployment of Infor WMS in the open distribution center provided accomplishment of the key requirement of the customer — to guarantee the high performance of distribution centers at the minimum share of errors in the course of a complete set. The share of errors is much lower than the target objective and makes 0.03%, and the speed of a complete set of orders reaches on average 170 boxes per hour.

Implementation of Infor WMS in the distribution center, as well as in all other warehouses of Verny retail network, was performed by the partner of Infor — LT Management company. Project implementation and integration with all corporate business systems were performed in the terms set by the agreement.

Warehouse complexes compete not only on equipment, opportunities of storage modes, but also on equipment by a warehouse management system. The development strategy of Verny network is focused on active growth in the CFD therefore we need to provide uninterrupted operation of logistic processes, standardization and automation of warehouses. Opening and automation of the distribution center in Chekhov will increase logistic availability of shops of network in the Moscow region. Fast development is impossible without standardization of business processes not only at the level of shops, but also in a warehouse complex — Alexey Bocharov, the logistics director of Verny retail network noted.
