2020: Business process optimization using the Samsung smartphones
Samsung Electronics and "Courier of Service Express" (KSE) summed up the first results of partnership within which the staff of KSE received solutions based on smartphones Samsung Galaxy J4 and Galaxy A10. On December 1, 2020 the company reported about it Samsung.
Cooperation of the companies started three years ago when KSE selected a series of the Samsung smartphones for the project, having provided with them the staff of the delivery service. Specialized software which KSE developers created based on the Cargo 5 system was installed on 1500 devices. Investments into the project for KSE were limited to purchase of smartphones and costs for development and support of software which is constantly updated.
For December 1, 2020 3000 devices of Samsung make 60% of the park of mobile devices KSE. Within partnership on their base two types of solutions were created: for couriers and for project offices of the company.
To couriers of the device allow to work with the list of the current tasks, to inform office on their accomplishment or on the arisen problems. Employees also had an opportunity to use all range of the external equipment: the system of scanning of barcodes using the camera, online cash desk and the acquiring equipment. It is possible to connect the payment terminal for implementation of a payment for orders to the smartphone, and all information on the financial transactions performed by the employee during the day is stored in the Mobile Cash Desk tab.
Thanks to the implemented solution the company quickly implements also different vital projects like contactless delivery, demand for which considerably increased. Taking the order, the client can confirm acceptance with the signature on own phone or input of a PIN code according to the special link on the website of KSE now. At the same time traditional methods of confirmation like the signature in the delivery note, in the register or on the device of the courier are also available to the choice.
At offices on smartphones orders are easily made out, departures are monitored and communication between different departments of the company is performed.
Complete solutions based on devices of Samsung began to render noticeable effect on work of employees practically at once after their implementation. As note in KSE, thanks to the intuitive interface workers without problems mastered all necessary actions on smartphones, and work of staff of courier service became much quicker as work with documents passed into an electronic form. Due to reliability of devices of Samsung the courier company observes reducing costs for technical support of the park of mobile devices. In future KSE is going to increase and unify grouping of smartphones.
