2019: Implementation of Slot-Koordinatsii

On September 30, 2019 the Domodedovo Airport announced implementation by the specialized information system "Slot-Koordination", intended for automation of process of approval of the slots requested by airlines.

The Domodedovo Airport is the airport of the Moscow air hub with the second level the slot coordination on classification of the International Air Transport Association (IATA). Airfield infrastructure of DME allows the airport to approach flexibly approval of slots, to offer airlines the most convenient time in terms of distribution of all airport resources which are necessary for carrier. Other airports of Moscow — the slot - coordinated the third level that means exceeding of demand for access to airfield infrastructure over capacity and is expressed in lack of opportunities on the most complete satisfaction of wishes of all partners.

"Slot-Koordination" automatically consolidates the arrived requests for the slot on different channels, selects request components, defines a possibility of providing required time taking into account capacity of airfield and passenger zones of the airport. If necessary a system performs selection of alternatives of time of a departure. From the seasonal schedule the daily plan of flights daily forms.

In real time the airport obtains information on the actual accomplishment of runs and unplanned changes in the schedule. In 2019 together with "Moscow Center of Automated Management of Air Traffic" branch of Federal State Unitary Enterprise State Corporation on Air Traffic Management the Domodedovo Airport implemented the project of automatic synchronization of trip information with governing bodies of air traffic (Department of Internal Affairs). In the daily plan of the airport automatically there are data transferred by the dispatching center ATC including time of implementation of take off and landing, estimated arrival time, a course of landing approach, the appointed runway. Operational information about the course of preparation of runs for departure from the Moscow Domodedovo Airport is reported to the authorities of the ATC.

The data coming to the daily plan of flights are transferred to all production information systems of the airport, including to a resource management system of the airport (Resource Management System, RMS) which in real time distributes the airfield equipment, personnel and static resources involved on all process steps of service of passengers and aircrafts. Specialists of Domodedovo Airport use more than 1.5 thousand compact mobile devices connected to the RMS system. On each device the application through which to specialists in the automatic mode information on runs and tasks for execution arrives is installed.

Process automation at Domodedovo Airport allows to service effectively with the minimum time expenditure aircrafts, optimum using all resources of the airport and providing high quality of service for passengers.
