2023: Use of the ERA Monitoring System
Russian technologies of GLONASS JSC will be used for the development of Eurasian Agroexpress. GLONASS announced this on September 11, 2023.
To ensure food security of the member states of the Eurasian Economic Union, import independence of IT products and the economic efficiency of accelerated railway and multimodal transportation of agricultural products, the "Continuous Cold Chain" will be implemented at all logistics stages of the Eurasian Agroexpress.
The project will cover the territory of the EAEU and in the future will be expanded to the countries of the Caspian basin, the Persian Gulf and the Shanghai Cooperation Organization. The corresponding memorandum on strategic partnership was signed by the head of the Eurasian Agroexpress Project Directorate - Eurasian Agrologistics ANO Alevtina Kirillova and General Director of GLONASS JSC Alexei Raikevich.
The cooperation involves joint pilot projects for the transportation of large-capacity refrigerated containers in one of the directions of Eurasian Agroexpress using the experience and technologies of the Russian ERA Monitoring service, created on the basis of the ERA-GLONASS state information system.
