MTS will invest three billion rubles in development of digital infrastructure of Stavropol Territory

2020: Agreement on project implementation of digitalization of the region

On January 22, 2020 reported to PJSC MTS that together with the Government of Stavropol Krai signed the agreement on strategic partnership for project implementation, directed to digitalization of economy and the social sphere of the region and also improvement of communication quality and Internet access. Within the agreement of MTS until the end of 2024 is going to invest about three billion rubles in digital infrastructure of Stavropol Krai.

The agreement on cooperation was signed by the president of PJSC MTS Alexey Kornya and the governor of Stavropol Krai Vladimir Vladimirov.

For creation of the comfortable urban environment in the region of MTS will offer own innovation IT and telecom solutions – services based on big data, system integration, cloud computing, Internet of Things, artificial intelligence. These solutions are intended for projects on the smart and safe cities using the systems of the video analysis and data processing in the situational centers. The company is ready to participate in implementation of technological and infrastructure solutions on observation of an ecological situation and to creation of warning systems of the population for the purpose of security and improvement of quality of life.

For implementation of the agreement of MTS in the territory of the region will provide a carpet with 4G network of all cities of Stavropol Territory, the high-speed mobile Internet will appear in all localities with the number of inhabitants from 1000 people. Also, further development and new construction of networks of fixed connection of MTS is planned.

For improvement of quality of life in the region we aim to use all technological solutions available to us. It is absolutely necessary to develop economy using tools based on data transmission – services of remote control and control, analytics, geopositioning. We cooperate not the first year with MTS concerning ensuring high-quality and convenient access to communication services and the Internet. We calculate that further partnership will allow to reach to us higher level digitalizations of the region because the purpose of all planned projects - to increase quality of life and level of comfort of residents of Stavropol Territory, commented on signing the governor of Stavropol Krai Vladimir Vladimirov
