In March 2017, Rostec announced the opening of a perinatal center in Bryansk. Medical equipment for him was supplied by the Schwabe holding, which is part of the state corporation.
The perinatal center is designed for 130 places, its construction cost 2.1 billion rubles, and half of this amount went to the purchase of high-tech medical equipment.
Schwabe produced neonatal tables, phototherapeutic irradiators, heaters and breath support devices for newborns, intensive care incubators and other equipment for the medical facility. Another Rostec subsidiary, RT-Inform, equipped the perinatal center with 190 computers.
A transport incubator is also installed in the Bryansk perinatal center to maintain oxygen-air, temperature and other optimal parameters for the newborn during transportation in an ambulance, helicopter or from one compartment of the perinatal center. In addition, an anesthesiological complex was placed in the center, which is absolutely new for Russia, Rostec said in a statement.
It is planned that thanks to the work of the center, the infant mortality rate in the Bryansk region will decrease by at least 20% by 2020 (6.1 out of 1000), that its team will be able to give life to babies whose weight at birth is less than half a kilogram.
The official opening of the perinatal center in Bryansk will take place on March 8, 2017. The opening ceremony will be attended by Russian President Vladimir Putin.
It is worth noting that on behalf of Putin, a program for the development of perinatal centers was developed with an indication of the timing and stages of its implementation, a list of entities most in urgent need of such centers was determined, conditions and procedure for co-financing the program were established.
