2019: Delivery of the 160-slice computer tomograph
On February 20, 2019 it became known that in the St. Petersburg hospital for veteranovvoyn the department of the computer tomography (CT) equipped with the modern equipment opened.
It is the 160-slice device, i.e. it can take 160 pictures for one turnover. Besides, it minimizes artifacts from metal, issuing more accurate picture. Oleg Vardikov managing department of KT

As told in hospital, the device of a multispiral computer tomography - already the third in "family" of hospital. It appeared in medical institution on the terms of public and private partnership.
Opening of department is dated for the 30 anniversary of a withdrawal of Soviet troops from Afghanistan.
Along with three-dimensional reconstruction and high spatial resolution he allows to carry out spectral scanning. It means, for example, that it is possible to define composition of chemical elements and to classify structure of stones in a bladder, kidneys, a gall bladder - each of pathologies has the form of treatment.
Among other features of the equipment specialists note a low radiation dose, the reduced time of a research and wider diameter of "ring" that gives the chance to inspect patients up to 220 kilograms.
And the most important is that the tomogram allows to estimate the patient's condition even in the absence of complaints. For example, by means of computer pictures it is possible to reveal the signs preceding serious complications, including bleeding.
Especially for installation of the device repair on the first floor of one of the body of hospital was made, and now each KT has the separate office, and data are flown down to the hardware room from which can be instantly transferred to any medical department. Opening of new department of KT in hospital of veterans of wars is dated for the 30 anniversary of a withdrawal of Soviet troops from Afghanistan[1].

In 2010 in hospital the 16-slice computer tomographic complex of KTR NIPK Electron Ltd appeared.
