2020: Rosbank passed to CompassPlus processing

At the beginning of 2020 Rosbank completed transfer of the services on own processing. Migration of cards took place in several stages: the flow switched gradually on types of cards and payment systems therefore for clients process remained unnoticed. During project implementation on migration Rosbank continued to bring to the market new services and products, including the digital map and instant card issue at several offices.

Access to payment systems will be provided with CompassPlus company which is also a supplier of Rosbank according to the software.

2019: Rosbank can refuse services of UCS because of frequent technical failures

Rosbank which historically cooperated with United Card Services (UCS) passes to processing of one of her competitors — Compass Plus, market participants reported in May, 2019 to Kommersant^[1].

According to interlocutors of the edition, during the tender Compass Plus with which there is an execution of the relevant agreements was selected and already in the current year Rosbank will refuse long-term partnership with UCS company and will pass to Compass Plus processing.

Rosbank and Compass Plus refused comments. UCS did not answer questions of Kommersant.

UCS, but unsuccessfully tried to sell the last several years of Global Payments. Potential buyers were afraid that in case of change of the owner Rosbank — the company, key for business — will cease to cooperate with it. As a result it was not succeeded to sell UCS.

According to the interlocutors of the edition familiar with a situation in Rosbank, frequent technical failures became the break in relations reason with the old partner. A number of banks already refused processing company services.

As the chief executive of National payment association Maria Mikhaylova, loss of such anchor client as Rosbank commented — serious blow. "It is difficult to estimate perspectives of further development of the company. Medium-sized credit institutions, as a rule, use third-party processing, but within clearing of the market of the Central Bank their number is gradually reduced" — Mikhaylova explained.

According to her, in addition to UCS there are three large processing companies — Multikart, KartStandart and Compass Plus which are quite enough to meet demand of banks for third-party processing.
