2020: Agreement on implementation of the industrial Internet

Rostelecom and "Rosseti Kuban" signed the agreement on strategic partnership for implementation of technologies of the industrial Internet, project implementation on management of remote objects of power grid infrastructure and development of digital services for electric power transmission automation. Rostelecom reported about it on December 14, 2020. Signatures on the document were appended by the director of the Krasnodar branch PJSC Rostelecom Sergey Polyakov and the CEO of PJSC Rosseti Kuban Sergey Sergeyev.

The history of our cooperation contains more than 30 years. Together we passed a way from use of copper wires to optical lines of communication, cloud solutions and digital substations of different power. Having signed the agreement, we are going to develop actively IT technologies in a power complex. It will allow our companies to increase efficiency and to render more full range of services — the director of the Krasnodar branch PJSC Rostelecom Sergey Polyakov noted.

The companies cooperate long ago, together providing the population of Krasnodar Krai and the Republic of Adygea with available digital trunking. Only in 2020 15 thousand subscribers got access to the fast Internet thanks to power grid infrastructure on which support the staff of Rostelecom placed the optical cable. Also with active assistance of "Rosseti of Kuban" in 2020 the federal project on elimination of digital inequality was implemented. In hardly accessible and remote areas technical specialists of Rostelecom laid optical lines on support of the power transmission line with a total length of 1.8 thousand km. As a result in 192 localities of Krasnodar Krai and the Republics of Adygea appeared wireless access points in the Internet, more than 40 thousand inhabitants had an opportunity free of charge to use this service.

In 2020 together with colleagues from Rostelecom we implemented a pilot project on the organization of inter-chip digital links and a data network for needs of our Adygei branch. In this project are united in a single network of 15 substations. For its implementation 12 km of additional network infrastructure were constructed. Use of optics of our partner, provider of digital solutions in the country, allows to conduct online monitoring and to manage important power nodes in real time — the CEO of PJSC Rosseti Kuban Sergey Sergeyev noted.

Considering experience of implementation of a pilot project in Adygea, in 2021 the companies are going to replicate it and on other territories. One more large-scale project which will begin in 2021, provides joint study and system implementation of remote data collection from energy consumption accounting devices. Work and on elimination of digital inequality in sparsely populated points of Kuban and the Republic of Adygea will be continued what about 800 more km of infrastructure of the electric grid company will be used for. Besides, in the near future Rosseti are going to use in the work capacities of data centers, solutions of information security and cloud services of national digital provider.
