Moscow will construct the innovation center "Mendeleyev's Valley". The first investments - 5 billion rubles

On August 27, 2020 the Urban Planning and Land Commission of Moscow (GZK) headed by the Mayor of Moscow Sergey Sobyanin permitted construction the scientific and technology center "Mendeleyev's Valley" in the northwest of Moscow in the area Northern Tushino. The project is implemented by request of Mendeleyev University of Chemical Technology of Russia.

Innocentre will are built on the land plot of 2.2 hectares, and the floor area of an object of 28.1 thousand sq.m. The center will include two body, height of buildings will be no more than 25 m. Also the project provides improvement of the adjacent territory.

It is specified that a part of the selected section is occupied by the body of the Russian chemical and technology university of Mendeleyev. At construction of new buildings of the innovation center they will be saved.

The main activities of the center — agrochemistry, agrobiotechnology and biotechnology; hi-tech chemistry and especially pure substances; medical and pharmaceutical chemistry and chemical technology; special purpose chemical technologies, high-energy substances; processes and devices of chemical technology, including digital.

Earlier the head Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation Denis Manturov said that the first objects of the innovation scientific and technology center "Mendeleyev's Valley" in To Moscow will be open in 2021, private investments at the initial stage of the project will make 5 billion rubles.

According to Manturov, the scientific and technology center will be separated into three clusters:

  • scientific and technology, engaged in researches and training of specialists;
  • production which will have development total volume to 1000 tons per year;
  • the cluster supporting infrastructure, which is responsible for design, certification and financing of startups.[1]
