2019: Aspen DMC3 acquisition

On December 11, 2019 the Aspen Technology company reported that Messer Group GmbH, the producer of industrial gases, purchased the software of Aspen DMC3 for increase in operational efficiency and profit and also for decrease in energy consumption and the number of emissions.

We aim to make the production processes by the most effective in the industry. Using the solution APC of AspenTech we will reduce influence of a human factor and we will achieve stable and reliable operation of production units with maximum efficiency. For December, 2019 we collect data for performance assessment. It is expected that use of the solution will lead to decrease in energy consumption and emissions of a carbon dioxide gas. We already started the first stage of deployment at some enterprises in Europe,
speaks, the chief executive of Messer Group GmbH Ernst Bode

The first implementation of Aspen DMC3 within an initiative "the Industry 4.0" was carried out at one of the European plants Messer. Using this software the Messer company can manage installations which work requires participation of the person and to reduce differences in electricity consumption. Automatic calculation of variables which were usually set by operators allows to optimize work of installations dynamically. The pilot project showed such efficiency that it is software all staff of the enterprise began to use.

Usually parameters of production processes where APC is not used, are not uniform. Energy consumption, specifications, volumes and production speed differ because of what the company loses profit. Aspen DMC3 is a bright example of transition to digital technologies. Software uses internal data of Messer and brings notable benefits. The solution collects data from all enterprise, and then on their basis increases efficiency of systems, regulating power supply,
explained the vice president of the European division of Aspen Technology Matt Holland
