2021: Plans to equip more than two thousand homes with remote data transmission
Until the end of 2021, more than two thousand apartment buildings and large industrial enterprises serviced by the Nizhny Novgorod Vodokanal will be equipped with a system for remote transmission of data on water consumption volumes from previously installed common house metering devices. This became known on April 22, 2021. This will not only ensure the correctness and timely transmission of readings, but will also provide information on the average daily flow rate of water, and will be able to collect useful analysis, for example, on the load on specific areas of water supply.
The effectiveness of this method was confirmed by a pilot project, in which the system was installed on 15 subscriber meters and showed stable and operational work. The contractor based on the results of the competition will be MegaFon PJSC.
In recent years, Nizhny Novgorod Vodokanal has seriously advanced in terms of digitalization. The next stage is the automation of collecting readings of common house metering devices using a remote data transmission system. This will help to make quick and accurate calculations without adjusting for the human factor, "said Nikolai Smirnov, director of the Center for Working with Subscribers of Nizhny Novgorod Vodokanal JSC. |
Equipment for remote transmission will ensure that the water channel receives information on water consumption volumes for 5 years. In the future, the project will also cover water supply and sewage stations, which already have an automated process control system.
At the same time, individuals and legal entities can still transfer the meter's testimony in their personal account on the official website of Nizhny Novgorod Vodokanal JSC. For legal entities, it is especially convenient that after registration, the subscriber can add several contracts to his account. In addition, the owner of the company can delegate the management of the personal account to one of the employees.
In addition, in accordance with the requirements of the Federal Law "On Energy Conservation and Improvement of Energy Efficiency and on Amendments to Certain Legislative Acts of the Russian Federation," 314 more apartment buildings of Nizhny Novgorod and Kstovsky District will be equipped with common house metering devices. The contractor following the results of the competition will be PJSC Rostelecom. Work is also planned to be completed by the end of 2021[1].
