Ozon adds Rosaccreditation data on the safety of goods in 150 thousand cards

Ozon began to post information on certificates and declarations of conformity confirming the safety of goods in product cards. The Ozon project with Rosaccreditation began with the category of goods for beauty, the civil service announced this on August 18, 2021.

Information from the registers of Rosaccreditation is added to the goods on Ozon as part of a joint project of the department and marketplaces to create a service that will automatically add information about documents from the registers of Rosaccreditation to information about goods on Internet sites.

Now Ozon users when choosing cosmetics, hygiene products and other products from the Beauty and Health category will be able to make sure that the products have passed the safety test. This will be reported by the mark "Checked Item" in the card. As of August 2021, such information is posted in about 150 thousand cards, and their number is constantly growing.

In the first product cards on Ozon, information from the registers of Rosaccreditation was added as part of the testing of the algorithm for automatic loading of quality documents. Soon, the project will affect all categories of goods that are subject to certification and declaration, including such important ones as goods for children. Verification of the existence of a valid certificate or declaration for products will be carried out automatically on the basis of information from the registries of certificates and declarations of Rosaccreditation.

The task of the Rosaccredit service is to create a convenient tool for the buyer, thanks to which you can check product information in two clicks: whether it has passed the necessary checks and whether it meets safety requirements. At the same time, Internet sites and retailers will be able to verify the integrity of their suppliers, "said Alexander Vdovin, director of the Department of State Policy in the field of licensing, control and supervisory activities, accreditation and self-regulation of the Ministry of Economic Development of Russia.

Rosaccredit, together with business representatives, creates such services so that information about the safety of goods is available to consumers at the time of purchase. It is important that Russians, customers in offline stores and Internet users are sure that they are purchasing high-quality legal goods. Thanks to a joint project of Rosaccreditation and marketplaces, Ozon buyers can already check whether the product of interest has passed a security check, and then decide to buy it.
