PepsiCo equipped cargo transport with a monitoring system of temperature condition

On May 29, 2018 the Sidisi company announced project completion on system implementation of monitoring of temperature condition on cargo transport of partners of PepsiCo company in the large cities of Russia, including Moscow, St. Petersburg, Novosibirsk, Nizhny Novgorod, Kazan, Chelyabinsk and others. A system is created based on technologies of industrial Internet of Things (Industrial Internet of Things, IIoT).

Over 500 partner lorries bringing dairy products and baby food to outlets are equipped with GPS trackers and intelligent sensors which in real time transfer data on temperature in a body in a system. Thanks to the implemented solutions of PepsiCo keeps track of timeliness of cargo delivery and speed of movement of vehicles that allows to optimize further routes and to increase efficiency of delivery. Besides, control of observance of temperature condition allows to guarantee the product delivery to outlet at an optimal temperature, so to minimize the probability of its damage. At a deviation of temperature condition the delivery driver and the manager receive the instant push-notification on the mobile device from regulation that allows to solve timely arisen problem.

The project is implemented by Sidisi (CDC) group based on solutions of a line Optimum.
