STEP BY STEP

On start of the project with the help of staff of the company the circle of the questions requiring the solution was created. Zones for improvement were called by divisions[1].

So, on Electric power it is necessary to exclude uneven and shock radial beating of collectors by assembled machines of a direct current, at LMP – to set the reasons of defects of weld joints at production of elements of guide vanes, on Turboatomgaz – to reduce deficiency level when drilling pipe boards and pipe partitions for condensers of steam turbines.

The called examples – only iceberg top: two tens similar questions were as a first approximation defined. On everyone responsible specialists who under the leadership of the staff of DKKBP consistently will pass through all stages of the project are selected.

Work will begin with determination – at this stage the project charter forms: the point of emergence of defect, limit of the solution of this task and the expected economic effect, external and internal clients are defined.

Further there is a measurement: collecting of indicators will allow further, at an analysis stage, method of statistical analysis to spread out process to the main components and to give offers on its adjustment.

At a stage of improvement there is implementation of the proposed solutions, at a stage of control assessment of the achieved results and also their compliances to expectations is performed. At the same time at the end of each stage the intermediate results are summed up.

THEORY AND PRACTICE

The first results of application of methodology of 6 Sigma can be discussed approximately in half a year. For now there is a training of a project team. The invited trainers acquaint with opportunities of 6 Sigma, including on specific cases – and not only from production work, but also, for example, from practice of sales services.

Training is broken into five stages assuming alternation of the theory and practice. After the lectures participants work skills of leaders, answering leading questions of the trainer, then go "to fields", i.e. to divisions where are engaged in collection of information. Then – again training. Today representatives of DKKBP, LMP, Electric power, design divisions, directorates, TsRBS and joint venture of our company and Toshiba corporation participate in this work.
