On January 31, 2019 the Rosneft company reported that RN-Komsomolsk Refinery upgraded the process control system of installation of primary processing – ELOU-AVT-3. On installation with a performance of 5.5 million tons modern digital technologies on the basis of mathematical models which allowed to include one of the most significant objects in the system of "the digital plant" implemented on KNPZ are applied.
It is already the second object within the program of creation of "the digital plant". In October, 2018 to modern information technologies it was transferred operator command center by production. Consolidation of adjacent process systems in complexes with uniform command center will become the next stage of digitalization. It will allow to make operational decisions considering technical parameters of processes and economic indicators of production and also to increase planning accuracy.
Creation of "the digital plant" is performed within strategy implementation of the Rosneft-2022 Company focused on high-quality change in all directions of business. The accelerated technology development – one of strategic objectives of the Company. It will allow to move to higher level of modern information business, to increase reliability and profitability of productions.
As noted in Rosneft, at the heart of system operation of management ELOU-AVT-3 – the computer interface and the programmable controllers providing conducting technology process in the optimum modes. An important element of a system are virtual analyzers which in real time make measure calculations of quality of the released product before carrying out laboratory researches. It gives the chance to react quickly to any deviations and to carry out operational adjustment.
The management system for the ELOU AVT-3 installation allows to increase selection of light fractions, to reduce consumption of energy resources, to increase the level of industrial and environmental safety and also to reduce load of technology personnel due to decrease in an information flow. By preparation for commercial operation of a system employees were trained.
As the Customer noted, trial tests of a system confirmed cost efficiency: for the first month of work it paid off completely that opens opportunities for further replication of a system on other technology objects – ELOU-AVT-2, catalytic reforming, installation of hydrotreating of diesel fuel.
As a result of implementation of digital solutions there was an opportunity to adjust technology processes taking into account not only production parameters, but also change of the external environment. These innovations are directed to reducing costs for production and increase in efficiency of the enterprise, reported in Rosneft.
