2020: Consolidation of the St. Petersburg offices in a single network

On June 8, 2020 system integrator Beltel took part in the integration project Rostelecom of PJSC ", as a result of which the uniform infrastructure meeting the high requirements of the Russian provider of digital services and services was created. the integrator helped Rostelecom to integrate the St. Petersburg offices in a single network Unified Communications.

Transition to the convergent solution providing all functions of unified communications was the purpose of the developed PJSC Rostelecom of the project. Succession of the operating equipment and subscriber devices was an important task. As an optimal solution the architecture based on Avaya Aura developed by BELTEL company was selected.

The requirement of succession was fulfilled thanks to the special Avaya program for the preferential migration of outdated UPATS providing the maximum preserving of investments both regarding license capacity and in further use of the most part of the existing nodal equipment and telephone sets in workplaces.

As a result of the complex project PJSC Rostelecom received the centralized solution based on VoIP of technology which maintains all TDM technologies used earlier – the equipment, services and communication lines. Routing of corporate communication became more universal and reserved. Upgrade of a corporate communication network also provided an opportunity to perform "seamless" transition to VoIP of subscribers of other offices of the company.

Due to reservation of key components and communication lines reliability of a telephone system increased, will reach a large supply of performance. A possibility of deployment of system applications on the virtual platform of DPC Rostelecom provides optimization of use of server resources and flexible scaling of subsystems of Avaya Aura.

The solution allows to organize if necessary remote work of users – access to audio and video conference, participation in conferences through Avaya Workplace.
