Gars Telecom started Wi-Fi network for VIP clients of S7 Airlines

Gars Telecom implemented the integration project on ensuring with wireless Wi-Fi with access bonus level of business halls of S7 Airlines at the Moscow Domodedovo Airport.

The telecom operator implemented the specialized solution of "Connectum Wi-fi" based on the equipment Cisco Systems. Each access point supports Wi-Fi standard 802.11ac, and the High Density Experience (HDX) technology increases efficiency of receiving and transmitting data in environments with a high density of subscribers and BYOD (Bring Your Own Device) using gadgets with different operating systems.

Wireless Wi-Fi the Internet at a speed up to 1 Gbps and is available to clients of S7 Airlines in business halls of the international departures ("S7 MVL Business hall") and internal departures above ("S7 VVL Business hall" and "to S7 Comfort") the Moscow Domodedovo Airport (DME).

"The airport – Wednesday, difficult for Wi-fi, because of load of an air with mass of third-party networks together with a big flow of users, at each of which, often, on 2-3 devices, - the deputy technical director of Gars Telecom Boris Mazo tells. - For providing a reliable communication in such conditions remote Wi-fi segments of network (business halls of S7 Airlines are located in different parts of the airport) are integrated by means of partner network infrastructure. Traffic accumulates in the central IT a node of airline".

The solution of Gars Telecom meets the requirements of the legislation of the Russian Federation and allows to provide obligatory identification of the users (and the terminal equipment used by them) who are connected to free networks Wi-fi (public Internet access points).

According to Boris Mazo, the implemented infrastructure also provides protection of network resources against undesirable traffic. Including, limits transfer of torrent-traffic which often forms a basis for illegal consumption of content protected by copyright.
