On May 24, 2019 the Open Technologies company announced transfer of a corporate system of power billing of PJSC Samaraenergo to the SAP HANA platform.
The main task set by the customer for Open Technologies company – increase in efficiency of operating activities of the company regarding billing of the electric power due to increase in processing speed data. Growth of number of consumers of PJSC Samaraenergo and complication business processes of the company led to deceleration of accomplishment of a number of transactions (for example, invoicings of accounts for the electric power) and to increase in time of report generation. After the detailed analysis the decision on transfer of billing to the platform based on DBMS SAP HANA was made (high-speed DBMS of a class "In-Memory").
The project is implemented step by step: at the first stage deployment, setup and commissioning of the platform is carried out, on the second - migration of SAP systems from Oracle DBMS on SAP HANA DBMS is carried out.
Design and commissioning of the aplines certified by SAP DWH All-flash, servers virtualizations and network equipment is executed. Works included installation and start of a cluster of virtualization, SAP HANA DBMS, systems of a SAP landscape, business applications SAP backup systems, tests, plan development of disaster recovery of systems. The large volume of data migration and SAP applications is carried out, - both by means of SAP, and means VMware, with change of versions of software and conducting functional testing.
For project implementation network equipment of Cisco, for servers and DWH – the equipment of Fujitsu was selected. Except hardware compatibility of the systems of the old and constructed DPC, offered Fujitsu the hardware-software stack including the certified SAP hardware.
The executed transition to the SAP HANA platform allowed to provide continuity and stability of accomplishment of key business processes of the Customer.
