The Sanflauer-M company works in the sector of commercial logistics and is an operator of safe custody (3PL), specializes stored truck and agricultural tires. The main and largest partner of the company is "the Bridgestone of the CIS", the world famous producer of car tires.

Tasks

In the course of partner interaction the problem in the organization of warehouse business processes therefore the task was set was revealed: provide in a warehouse accurate lot-based accounting, namely accounting of receipt, storage and shipment of buses on batches. The decision to select the company of the system developer of WMS for management of a warehouse, to implement a system and also to technically prepare a warehouse, for address storage was made having equipped it with the specialized equipment.

At the same time system implementation of WMS needed to be made, without stopping work of a warehouse, in the shortest possible time and to develop integration with SAP R/3 management system, without changes of processes in SAP.

Solution

Result

During preparation of a system for start the command solved a number of tasks, namely:

• the cycle of consultations on technological effectiveness of warehouse processes therefore the technical specifications were made is carried out
• the warehouse of the company was prepared for address storage, Wi-Fi is set, specialized data gathering equipment and printings of labels is supplied and configured, inventory of a warehouse is carried out
• the InStock WMS system was customized on processes of a warehouse, prepared for start and integration with a management system of "SAP R/3" is tested
• the documentation package was developed for system administrators and operators
• technologies of works and zoning of a warehouse are approved
• employees of a warehouse are trained.

Results of Implementation

The implementation team managed to customize a system for a month of work, to train users and to test integration with SAP. What is especially important, the current work of a warehouse did not stop.

In InStock WMS system implementation project deliverable, warehouse processing of goods of Bridgestone of the CIS company was transferred to strict lot-based accounting and integrated on information flows with a management system of "SAP R/3" that accelerated information processing and shipment of goods thereby having increased capacity of a warehouse.

Application of the InStock WMS system automated process of accounting of all warehouse transactions for tariffing of services and drawing of accounts to clients that led to cost reduction by settlings with clients. Accuracy of accounting of warehousing services increased competitiveness of a warehouse complex.

In addition, the integrated system adapts under any features and parts of unique business processes of a warehouse, mainly, due to change of rules and settings, but not processing of the code of the program, and these settings are easily mastered by specialists of any warehouse that gives the chance of independent work with a system.

Specialists of "In-Stok Tieknolodris" managed to solve an assigned task Bridgestone of the CIS company, they managed to execute integration qualitatively and in a short time. System implementation of InStock WMS increased the speed of processes of warehouse processing of goods and reduced time of handling works.
